Tenant Information

Welcome to Leeds!

Thank you for choosing to rent with us, we are very pleased to welcome you. Here’s some information you may find useful.

Check-in Inventory

Before you move in, you will receive a copy of your Check-in Inventory electronically. This is a record of what condition the property and any furniture or appliances are in. You should review this document carefully, and are encouraged to add any comments if you wish.

Appliance Manuals & Guides

Please visit our downloads page where you will find instruction manuals related to various items in your apartment. If you need to know how to work the heating, hot water system, intercom, or underfloor heating - this is the place to start!

Deposit

As required by the UK government, we do not hold onto your deposit. Instead, it is passed on to My Deposits who hold it on our behalf. A copy of the deposit protection certificate will be made available to you soon after you move in. When you move out, your deposit will be returned in full, assuming the apartment is returned in good condition.

TV

Your apartment can receive TV signals via the aerial and satellite dishes on the roof. Free-to-air channels are provided by Freeview and Freesat. You can also subscribe to paid-for services such as Premier League Football and movies from Sky or Virgin Media.

Internet

Your apartment has high speed cable fibre broadband available, provided by Virgin Media. You can subscribe to their services online to get internet speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second for fast and reliable wifi.

ADSL internet is also available via the telephone line, however this is older technology and speeds are slower - usually around 15mbps. Use an online comparison website to find a suitable package.

Water

Water is supplied by Yorkshire Water. If you have a leak, please contact us by telephone immediately.

Electricity

There are several suppliers of electricity, and you are free to choose whichever one you prefer as long as it doesn't require a change of electricity meter. Online comparison websites such as comparethemarket.com are great for finding the best deal. Electricity is charged at two different rates depending on the time of day: a night rate which is cheaper (‘Rate 1’) and a day rate (‘Rate 2’) which is more expensive. These types of tariff are called 'Economy 7'.
